The Perfection and Fragrance of a Wax Plant
04/30/21
Mount Michael’s Abbey is home to lots of different house plants of all types. Some of them required tender loving care and others basically care for themselves.
In the Entrance to the original abbey building is a Wax plant which does not demand much care. However, it makes its presence known almost on a yearly basis. Right now it is blooming. The fragrance of this plant is overwhelming, partly due to the enclosure of the space, but I would say pretty intoxicatingly wonderful.
It is a concrete reminder of the beauty of God’s creation in both smell as well as sight.
