Still Have Some Natural Beauty —- Not All Manicured

Today, April 22, is Earth Day! It is a good day to post a photo directly behind the abbey building.

Mount Michael is still fortunate to have some land that is pristine— totally natural. In fact, there are a number of acres in our wooden area that we have named the “Gullies”. Many alums will know exactly what area of Mount Michael property is being referred to when the word “gullies” is used.

The photo here is directly behind the abbey building — some red buds are now blooming there. Br. Luke just threw some seeds out there and they grew.

Earth Day — it is great to plant seeds in a natural way as well. Keep planting trees and keep some places natural and pristine! – Fr. John Hagemann OSB
