Spirea in Full Bloom on the Day of the Election of Pope Leo XIV

On Thursday, May 8 the world received a new pope: Pope Leo XIV. How appropriate the spirea was in full bloom. Many people also know spirea by another name – Bridal Wreath.

Br. Jerome took full advantage of the beauty of these pristine flowers to adorn the Holy Water Fount in chapel. Pope Leo XIV joined to the Church as a bride to her husband. Scripture is filled with marriage imagery. It surrounds us here as Pope Leo is given to our Church. May beauty always surround him in the Risen Lord! ALLELUIA
